6th edition of Runveer, the Infantry Marathon

The 6th edition of Runveer, the Infantry Marathon, celebrates the resilience and unity of the Indian Army, along with the shared pride of the nation and its citizens. This year, the marathon also commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Kargil War, a significant milestone in our country’s history.

Organized annually to commemorate Infantry Day, which marks the foundation of the Infantry, the largest fighting arm of the Indian Army, the event pays tribute to the indomitable spirit and battlefield heroics of our soldiers. By bringing together Army personnel and civilians, the Infantry Marathon fosters a sense of camaraderie and collective patriotism.

This timed 21 KM run is open to both Indian Army personnel and the public, offering an opportunity for competitive runners, while also featuring family-friendly engagements for all ages, promoting interaction between the community and the Army.
