About National Hydrographic Office (NHO), Dehradun

National Hydrographic Office, located at Dehradun is the main office of the Indian Naval Hydrographic Department (INHD) and is responsible for all matters of hydrography as applicable to the Indian Navy. The department has a fleet of seven oceangoing vessels well equipped with modern equipment to collect hydrographic details. The office produces standard navigational charts and nautical publications as per the standards and conventions of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and the International Hydrographic Organisation (IHO). NHO also produces digital charts in the form of Electronic Navigation Charts (ENC) for use in the Electronic Navigation Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS). The office is also responsible for provisioning of Hydrographic and Marine Safety Services within Indian waters/area of responsibility.

Event – Dehradun Navy Half Marathon 2024 (Second Edition)

Age Categories:-

21 km (Timed Run) – Minimum age of 18 Years on the day of the event

18 to 29 Years
30 to 39 Years
40 to 49 Years
50 to 59 Years
60+ Years

10 Km (Timed Run) – Minimum age 14 Years on the day of event

14 to 29 Years
30 to 39 Years
40 to 49 Years
50 to 59 Years
60+ Years

5 KM-Fun Run – Open to all (Minimum age to take part in 5 km is 8 years on the day of event)

Cut off Timings:-

21 KM – 3:30 Hrs.
10 km – 1:45 Hrs.
5 km –  01 Hr

Cash Prizes:  

21 KM (Fastest 3 Male/Female)

First : 10,000/-
Second: 7,000/-
Third: 5,000/-

10 KM (Fastest 3 Male/Female)

First : 7,000/-
Second: 5,000/-
Third: 3,000/-

The fastest finishers in 21 km (Half Marathon) and 10 km will be awarded the trophies on stage on the race day. The top three runners in each age category will be displayed on the website the next day and awarded trophies at a later date. The details of the presentation of trophies for age category winners will be intimated on the registered email ID.

Registration ends on 05 November 2024 at 2300 Hrs

Points to remember:-

  • Registration is not transferable.
  • Please carry valid id proof for the collection of BIB
  • There is no on-the-spot registration.
  • Participants are not allowed to exchange their BIBs / Timing chips
  • The BIB number assigned to each participant is unique and must be used by that participant only. Any runner found to have interchanged their BIB with another individual, will be disqualified from the Event.
  • The Bib should be pinned on the chest above the waist such that it can be clearly seen by the Race Officials – it should NOT be pinned to shorts or skirts below the waist
  • The BIB should be worn by the participant at all times during the race
  • All the updates related to the event will be shared on the registered email ID.

Facilities during the event:-

  • Baggage Counter at the venue.
  • Ambulance on the route.
  • Physio and medical team at the Venue and on Route
  • Hydration point at every 1-2 km.
  • Timing System at Start/Finish, 5km and 10.5km (For timed runners 21.097km & 10KM)
  • Route Marking:The route is marked with arrows and other markers to guide participants on the correct path during the half marathon.
  • Pre-Event Zumba session for runners
  • Route marshals will be there at all distances to guide the route.
  • Volunteers will be en route to guide runners and at Hydration points.

WAIVER & RELEASE FROM LIABILITY

I know that running or volunteering for a road race is a potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained, and by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, am in good health, and am properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I attest that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic, and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or roller blades, animals, and personal music players are not allowed in the race and I will abide by all race rules. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, all event sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
